French Empire "Venus & Amor" mantle clock has a marble and bronze case with a green marble base and clock tower with gilt bronze mounts, 2 tone standing bronze figure of Amor leaning over the clock tower as Venus places a golden wreath on his head. 4.5 in. porcelain dial with black Roman hour numerals, fancy gilt pierced hands, bronze bezel and French brass 8 day spring driven movement with half hour strike on a bell. Case is in excellent condition with no damage or repair, movement winds, sets and runs, no hairlines in dial; missing bell, rear door replaced. Dimensions: 26 in. high x 20.75 in. wide x 8 in. deep. Weight: 95.75 lbs.
