French Louis XV Style Cherry Dining Table, 20th c., the oval basket weave inlaid top over an incised and carved skirt, on scrolled cabriole legs, with curved end leaves, H.- 30 in., W.- Closed- 66 in., Open- 91 in., D.- 37 1/4 in.
Condition Report: Condition consistent with age and use. Leaves present. Finish of leaves different color than table top. Small 1 in. crack of veneer on center of one leaf. Small ½ in. chip of wood inner border of one leaf. 6 in. crack in veneer on other leaf. Small flaking of finish, approx. ½ in, on table top, but does not require refinishing. Minor scratches to finish on top border. Large 2 ½ in. gouge on surface of one leaf at narrowest end. Small 1 in. gouge on other leaf near narrow end. Surface scratches around edge per normal wear and tear, perhaps where chairs were pushed in. Nicks on legs per normal wear and tear. Carvings intact.
