French Provincial Grain Painted Oak Morbier Clock, 19th c., the stepped cornice over split baluster stiles, pressed brass clock surround, enamel dial, conforming glazed door revealing a lyre form pendulum, on a stepped plinth base, H.- 94 in., W.- 25 in., D.- 12 in.
Condition Report: Structurally sound. Patination to metal elements with some separations and indentations. Minor losses to enameling. Scattered inactive worming. Case with paint loss and touch up. Scattered shrinkages, some with separation, a few repairs with glue residue, one at waist the other near base of door, both upper and lower glass lacking. Overall chips, nicks, marks, abrasions and imperfections, all consistent with age and use. A handsome example.
