French Provincial Henri II Style Carved Oak Writing Table, late 19th c., the stepped sloping edge top over two frieze drawers, on rope twist trestle supports, joined by a rope twist stretcher, H.- 29 1/2 in., W.- 51 in., D.- 29 in., together with a matching chair, with an arched pierced leaf carved crest over an upholstered lozenge back flanked by rope twist supports, to a cushioned seat, on turned and block legs joined by turned and block stretchers, now covered in green faux leather, with iron tack decoration. Condition Report: Condition consistent with age and use. Shrinkage cracks present to top. Scratches and ink marks on top. Normal wear and tear present throughout.
