French Provincial Oak Tall Case Clock
French Provincial Oak Tall Case Clock
18th century, of hourglass form, the hood with a molded cornice, circular glazed door in the front and glazed panels on each side, the dial bearing the name "Boulenger A Hardinghen", with a time-and-strike 30-hour movement.
h. 93", w. 17-1/2", d. 11-1/2"
Condition Report: **In good "as found" condition. The central case door has an old repair to the lower right corner. Minor old nicks and dings to the mid-molding consistent with age and use. Likely had a molding around the bottom edge of the base which is now lacking. The dial has a glass plate over the face - and there is a horizontal crack across the glass. Some wear and losses to the painted dial, mostly along the edges. The movement is a 30-hour single weight and chain driven. It appears clean and functions when the weight is hooked on. The case has a warm color and pleasing overall patina. Weight and pendulum present.
