French Provincial Style Secretary Desk by Davis

A French Provincial style secretary desk by Davis Cabinet Company, Nashville, TN. The desk has an upper bookcase cabinet with a shelf, above two framed doors with shaped panels, having brass wire grills. Below is a shaped, slanted lid, which is lower hinged and opens to a divided interior with valanced pigeon holes and two serpentine drawers. The lower case also has three full-width drawers with serpentine fronts and bail handles, above a scalloped apron, paneled sides and cabriole legs with scrolled feet. Circa 1960.
