A 19th century French Provincial walnut panetiere (spindled bread safe) atop a 20th century cherry petrin (dough trough) which has been re-outfitted as a fall-front desk. The panetiere, measuring 36" x 32" x 16", is decorated with floral relief carvings. The petrin, measuring 39" x 44" x 20", has a figural relief panel on the fall-front.
