Walnut bookcase cabinet richly carved in relief, third quarter 19th century, carved and scrolled crest over a carved cornice, frieze with floral and foliate carvings centering a raised and protruding medallion, two glass doors with carved moldings and insets and flanked by twisted spiral columns, shelved interior with bottom storage area hidden behind trophy carvings on base of each door representing literature and art, long drawer at base with scrolled foliate carvings centering a large carved mask handle; paneled sides; bun feet; 101"H, 19"D, 57 1/4"W; good condition overall, three horizontal stabilizing boards fastened to back, glass replaced, later shelves, some gaps due to loss and age shrinkage (Ref. 62)
