A late 19th century French "Renommee" (Fame) model swinging arm figural clock. 8-day time and strike movement within a painted spherical body with Roman numerals with compensating pendulum and Gilded mounts. "Renommee" Spelter figure after Auguste Moreau with two color patina and marbleized turned wooden plinth. Some wear to the original finish, spheres with older repainting, replaced nut on swing arm, running when cataloged. 34 3/4" high.
