Relined. Fine craquelure throughout with associated flaking and loss. Areas of loss worse along the framing edges. Evidence of a zig-zag tear with visible repair and retouching in the upper right quadrant approx. 30cm. Scratches scattered throughout the lower third. Canvas made up of two separate pieces of canvas attached 1/3 up from the bottom. This is visible recto. Overall paint is thinning. Inspection under UV reveals a green cloudy masking varnish with some scattered retouching visible, however extent of retouching may be restricted by varnish.
