French Silver and Enamel Cigarette Box, Oscar Roty

Oscar Louis Roty (French 1875-1911) Rectangular box with hinged cover, engine turned decoration in silver with silver and green enamel wreath enclosing a silver relief of Venus and Cupid, signed O.Roty, with green enameled banded border, the corners inset with amethyst colored cabochon glass stones, the box interior and bottom lined in Rosewood. Minerva head hallmark. 3 7/8 in. x 4 3/4 in. Condition: Very small indent to top at right side of relief. Shrinkage crack to interior wood lining.
