French Style Gilt Metal Mounted Red Porcelain Covered Urn

Large baluster-form urn in glazed porcelain with a deep red ground. The vessel features a central hand-painted reserve depicting a classical mythological scene with multiple figures including nymphs and satyrs in a landscape setting. Smaller oval reserves on the neck and reverse show similar pastoral vignettes, framed by raised-gilt scrollwork and foliate patterns. The urn is mounted with cast gilt-metal components including double-scroll handles with acanthus leaf accents and a pierced rococo-style pedestal base resting on four scroll feet. A matching domed porcelain lid with a gilt-metal pinecone finial completes the form. The foot of the porcelain urn is decorated with hand-painted polychrome floral sprays within white panels. The underside of the base shows a central metal mounting bolt and nut; No maker marks, signatures, or factory stamps are visible on the porcelain surface.
