French school (Perronneau school) - A girl with a Kitten
\Artist: French school (Perronneau school)
Technique: Pastel\Signature: Not signed\Dimensions: 90_76_76_cm
Beautiful portrait of a girl with a cat. 18th century French pastel painting attributed to Jean Baptiste Perronneau (1715, Paris - 1783, Amsterdam) , a painter specialised in portraits executed with the pastel technique. In the 1750 Salon, Perronneau exhibited a pastel version of the great portraitist Maurice Quentin de la Tour’s portrait. Very delicate, the work is exquisite and of great quality. It comes with its original glass. The frame has a bronze label with the name Rigaud, a 18th century French painter. Perhaps it was attributed to him by mistake in the 19th century. A work of great class and artistic quality, with a great aesthetical weight.
