We would like to thank Joshua P. Waterman PhD for kindly informing us that these two panels are two further parts of an altarpiece that no longer exists as a whole and of which two panels are in the collection of the Metropolitan Museum in New York. There they are St George and St Sebastian, also standing in front of a niche with a drapery hanging in front of it. Waterman dates the panels to around 1475/80.
