An exceptional specimen of Malachite with splendid shapes and velvety surface, gracefully mounted on an entirely hand-carved wooden base. This Malachite comes from a historic old Chinese mining location, Shilu Mine, Yangchun Co. , Guangdong Prov. , dating back to the 1980s. This specimen is an excellent example of botryoidal growth and comes from an older collection. Currently, it is difficult to find Malachites from this historic mine on the market. The wooden base shows some small cracks, as can be seen from the photos.
