The Conservative Club, founded in Kraków in 1896 by Władysław Leopold Jaworski, Adam Krzyżanowski, and Antoni Górski, brought together a younger generation of conservatives, referred to as “neoconservatives” or “neo-Stanists.” Its members sought to renew the conservative movement’s platform, adapting it to changing social and political realities. They were more open to dialogue with other political groups, especially the People’s Party and the Socialists, while opposing National Democracy.
