【Product details】

This expertly hand-carved statue from the Meiji era represents Fudo Myoo, the immovable wisdom king and a central figure in the pantheon of esoteric Buddhism. As an emanation of Dainichi Nyorai, Fudo Myoo is depicted wielding a sword in his right hand, symbolizing the severance of all mortal ties and impediments to enlightenment. His left hand grasps a rope to bind and subdue negative forces. The fierce deity is also known to grant significant benefits, such as success in life, protection from evil, disaster removal, and assured victory in endeavors.

This statue is deeply revered across various Japanese Buddhist sects and the Shugendo tradition. It is said to bestow great benefits by purifying devotees' karma, leading them to spiritual realization.

Time has left its mark on the sculpture, as evidenced by wear, scratches, chips, and discoloration, with a few chips and signs of repair on the fiery halo at the back.
