Fukang Meteorite Slice Pallasite, PMG Fukang, Xinjiang Uygur Province, China - (44° 26'N, 87° 38'E) Found: 2000 One of the best varieties of pallasitic meteorites, Fukang from China is outstanding for its crystallization, stability and rarity. This irregularly shaped specimen weighs 77 grams and features two primary display sides with relatively massive crystals of translucent greenish-yellow Olivine amid a metallic background. One side exhibits Widmanstätten patterning due to etching, while the other shows a 'mirror-like' finish. Quality, especially large, specimens of Fukang are few and far between, and this checks all of the boxes. Overall Measurements: 3.82 x 2.96 x 0.13 inches (9.70 x 7.53 x 0.33 cm), weighs 77 grams [Scale: 1 inch, with mark at 1 cm]
