[ translate ]

A durable composite full scale replica of a WWII Supermarine Spitfire GR Z, tail number N3194 with four bladed propeller. This replica plane is marked in the livery of the original plane flown by Squadron Leader Roger Bushell, who was shot down in combat and captured in France.
The full scale replica of this iconic plane measures approx. 29ft 11", the wing span measures approx. 36ft 10", the plane is currently mounted on six metal supports at wing, tail and undercarriage, mounting posts are included. There are no internal parts other than its fixed frame. This plane has formed part of a private collection for the last 20 years. The plane itself appears to be in stable condition with signs of exposure due to outdoor living. It is very similar to the TDL replica plane which used to stand at Biggin Hill but is now housed at the Cornwall Aviation Heritage Centre after restoration.

The British Supermarine Spitfire is a single-seat fighter aircraft that was used by the Royal Air Force and other Allied forces, designed by R.J Mitchell, chief designer at Supermarine Aviation Works, which operated as a subsidiary of (Vickers-Armstrong) from 1928. Mitchell modified the Spitfire's distinctive elliptical wing to the the thinnest possible cross-section, tapering to slender tips. This aerodynamic breakthrough reduced drag, allowing the aircraft to achieve exceptional top speeds and agility. The original Spitfire plane was suitable for both high altitude combat carrying arsenal of rockets, cannons and machine guns and equally comfortable in ground attack missions. This replica plane would be ideal for a Aircraft Heritage Museum, a Gate guard or to form part of a Private Collection.
Please note that this aircraft will need to be collected from its current location in a private setting, information to follow. Viewing is strictly by appointment. Buyers will be responsible for all costs and for any damage caused to private property while removing the item.
