GEO JE T'AIME - c.1930
GEO JE T'AIME - c.1930
Based on “Ray Lambert” (Raymond Gabriel Lambert, known as) not credited
Large original lithographed die-cut cardboard advertising display. 51 x 28.3 cm. “Imp. Joseph-Charles. Paris”
Beautiful example—
with vivid, luminous colors and a lovely original sheen.
Still has its original stand on the back, allowing for perfect vertical display. There is a slight crease at the fork, very subtle surface imperfections, and the absence of the decorative tray (probably filled with cold cuts) that the figure originally held in his hand.
The overall condition remains very satisfactory.
Founded in 1908 by Georges Foucault, a charcuterie manufacturer who named the brand after the diminutive form of his own first name, the Géo company established itself in Kremlin-Bicêtre in 1913.
