GEORG VON DER MARWITZ
(1856 - 1929) Prussian cavalry general, commanded the Second and Fifth German armies during the First World War on both the Eastern and Western fronts. Great S.P., 3.5 x 5.5 b/w, a half-length lithographed pose in uniform, boldly signed on the face beneath his printed signature. On the verso, von der Marwitz adds a lengthy list of his many commands and the years of his appointments. Fine.
