This is a sterling silver tray trophy given on March 24th 1937 to George Burns and Gracie Allen for their radio program they aired in 1930's. This tray is made by Gorham and weights approx 157 ounces. It measures approx 30.6" front 19.1" tall and 2.5" deep. The monogram reads : "To George and Gracie with pleasant memories of the past 78 weeks and wishing you the best presented on the air 8.30-9 Wednesday March 24th 1937" (there are 12 signatures of well known people such as Henry King Jaques Reuard Milton Watson Tony Martin Ken Miles Herry Jones etc.). This piece was purchased by a collector from Sothebys in Beverly Hills on October 10th 1997.
