George III style giltwood pier table in the manner of William Kent (English 1685-1748), having a faux malachite patterned plaster top, Vitruvian scroll frieze supported by front scrolled legs centering on a figural mask flanked by laurel and berry garlands above a scallop shell, and rising on an ebonized plinth base, apparently unmarked.
Approximate dimensions: h. 35", w. 53.75", d. 28.25".
Condition Report: Later top with fading/discoloration and some chips, areas of molding lacking from the corners of the frieze, possible later regilding, previous restoration to the mask, scattered chips, dryness cracks to the top of the plinth base with wear and overpaint, frame is structurally sound.
