George Wostenholm (Janus) Cutlery handled Sheffield Bowie with hollow ground, satin finished blade that exhibits only minor blemishes. Blade is marked "APPLEBY / SHICKSHINY, PA" on ricasso. 410 Stainless steel cross guard remains bright with scattered light blemishes. Antique silver hollow cutlery handle grip with attractive designs on each side. Grip exhibits nice original polish with light handling wear. The knife is marked with its wet molded, tooled black leather scabbard that features a 410 stainless steel throat and tip. Round carry stud at throat. Light blemishes throughout with pliable leather and tight seam. Mounts retain their mirror polish. Accompanied by a copy of an Appleby Knives certificate. CONDITION: Excellent.
