1877 - 1951
Egyptian
PORTRAIT DE FEMME ORIENTAL (PORTRAIT OF AN ORIENTAL WOMAN)

signed and dated G. H. Sabbagh 1929
oil on paper laid on panel
52.5 by 40.5cm.; 20½ by 15⅞in.

Condition Report:
Condition:
This work is in good condition. There are pin holes visible on top left and top right corners, when viewed closely. There is minor surface undulation on top left corner, due to past mounting. The work would benefit from a light clean. There is no restoration apparent when viewed under the UV light.

Colour: The catalogue illustration is fairly accurate; however, the overall tonality is less green-yellow in the original work and there is more texture with the blues, yellows, reds coming through stronger in person.

In response to your inquiry, we are pleased to provide you with a general report of the condition of the property described above. Since we are not professional conservators or restorers, we urge you to consult with a restorer or conservator of your choice who will be better able to provide a detailed, professional report.
