We would like to thank Michel Schulman for confirming the authenticity of this lot, which will be included in his forthcoming catalogue raisonné on Georges Michel.

Condition Report:
Not examined out of the frame. Oil on paper laid down on canvas. There are four patches adhered to the reverse at center and upper left. The work presents well with fresh, bright colors. There is a hairline thin tear at the extreme upper left edge (visible in current framing) and a very small area of abrasion in the lower right corner. Under UV: there is a diagonal repaired tear at upper center and an upside down 'L' shaped area of dashed inpainting at upper left. Finely applied pin dots and dashes of inpainting scattered in the sky, concentrated in the upper right quadrant and along the horizon line at lower center and lower right. Some finely applied inpainting to the left upper edge and upper right corner and isolated in the landscape. Brushy inpainting in the lower right corner.
