This 'Alhambra' style necklace is by Georges Richards & Wildenstein, who are known to have produced work for Van Cleef & Arpels and other prominent French jewellery brands. Their distinctive maker's mark featuring the shell was in use from 1972 and the firm had workshops located at 1 rue Saulnier, 75009 and 90 Avenue Paul Doumer, 75116 in PARIS.
