Plain polished rectangular form with rounded corners, the cover with a sweeping curved design and flush hinge, the rim of the cover has a narrow ribbed rim.

Designed by Gerald Benney and made with Thomas James Boucher (1897 - 1988) craftsman and technician at the college in Gerald's first year at the Royal College of Arts.
One of the Students projects was to have a design made by Boucher who advised on the practical and technical aspects of making silver.
