GERMAN METTLACH BOAR HUNT CAMEO CERAMIC STEIN, number 2530, having bas-relief sides with figures holding guns and clubs, featuring one holding onto a boar with a dog running beside it, signed "Stahl" to lower left of handle, ceramic inset metal lid with a jumping rabbit among an oak branch, double acorn thumblift, 3/10 liter size. Impressed "METTLACH / VB" and "GES.GESCH." marks to base with additional impressed numerals. Late 19th/early 20th century.
Condition: A flake to edge of lid's ceramic inset possibly as made, scattered as-made manufacturing hairlines on bas-relief decoration with some discoloration, and a few small flakes to trees, otherwise undamaged.
