GERMAN METTLACH RICHARD WAGNER CERAMIC STEIN, mold number 2798, having etched sides with central profile portrait of composer Richard Wagner having foliate frame, flanked by six figures, missing lid, 1/2 liter size. Impressed "METTLACH / VB" and "GES-GESC. / REG U.S. PAT. OFF. / MADE IN GERMANY" marks to base with additional impressed numerals. Early 20th century.

Condition: Undamaged, missing lid and handle mount.

Size: 6 5/8" HOA.
