Condition Report:
Not examined out of the frame. Original unlined condition. Faint, fine craquelure scattered across the picture surface. Minor surface dirt and dust with a few minor accretions. Frame abrasion visible along the left and lower right edges. Faint pentimenti visible around the figure's shoulders. Under UV: streaky varnish fluoresces green unevenly. There are scattered retouches throughout the figure's jacket and hair and in the background. Fine dashes of inpainting to address prior craquelure on the figure's hand and forefinger. Broad, brushy restoration at the left, upper and right edges.
