GERMAN THREE-COMPARTMENT AMMUNITION POUCH FOR THE MAUSER RIFLE - 1915
- A leather, three-compartment ammunition pouch for a Mauser rifle from World War I. Each compartment retains a leather divider separating the ammunition cartridges. On the flap of one of the compartments, there is an ink stamp with a partially legible inscription in Gothic script and the markings “17/67” and “18/67.” On the reverse side, the manufacturer’s mark “LEMAN, BERLIN” and the year “1915” are stamped. The buttons, the semicircular ring for attaching the shoulder straps, and the rivets are made of brass. The cartridge pouch is well-preserved; the stitching is intact, and the leather is supple.
