German World War II Luftwaffe M35 double decal helmet in a shell maker/size "Q/64 and lot number of "25442". Shell exterior retains approximately 70% of a smooth blue-gray paint with most the wear on the crown. Shell interior retains approximately 70% of its paint with dullness and freckling. Luftwaffe eagle rates 75-80% with crazing, and the tricolor rates 85-90% with crazing. A coat of era-applied lacquer. A later liner was added at some point with most of the leather missing and a zinc liner band, with very loose rivets. An original chinstrap with steel fittings is present with heavy wear and a black tape rear from a break in the leather. CONDITION: Overall fair to good. WEZ
