GERMANY. Brown leather holster for a Lüger P08 pistol, marked F.K.St. (Funk-Kompanie / Stab?), dated 1939, missing its disassembly key. Flap partially unstitched. Found in a barn between Orléans and Pithiviers. ABE General Botho Elster, who went to Beaugency, was in fact commanding Feldkommandantur 541 in Mont-de-Marsan before taking charge of this retreating column. A case possibly bearing a unit marking from the Feldkommandantur staff (F.K.St. for Stab einer Feldkommandantur) is typically the kind of equipment carried by the officers or administrative personnel who formed the core of this column in 1944
