Spine stress, top staple pulled, light edgewear including a few tiny edge nicks and a short creased tear to the right edge of the front cover, tiny crease to top right corner, tiny nick to bottom spine, rubberstamped distributor's mark above voodoo doll (" AUG 19 1953"). Maurice Whitman's blonde bayou babe's tattered dress makes her look like a pre-Code version of Li'l Abner's hillbilly honey, Daisy Mae Scragg. Whitman, a master of tease who's sexy scenarios earned him a prominent place in Dr. Wertham's Seduction of the Innocent, has even drawn the blonde's bra strap falling off her shoulder, a small detail bound to appeal to lingerie fetishists among Fiction House's readership.
