ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Some of the most coveted sapphires in the world are the Ceylon (Sri Lankan) sapphires. But, this GIA certified yellow Sri Lankan sapphire is even more so coveted because of its rarity in that it has not been subjected to any enhancing heat treatments! A gemstone such as this is worthy to be featured in a luxurious platinum ring with exceptional quality diamonds in the tiered and dimensional halo. This rare gemstone is supported by a strong, yet ornate, under gallery. The pinched, diamond encrusted, cathedral shoulders eventually taper to an approximate 2.5mm polished gold shank. The top of the ring measures approximately 5/8" long and 1/2" wide. The Karl Haas hallmark, a serial number, the gold quality, and gemstone weights are located inside the ring shank. Please inquire about sizing, if needed, and allow an additional 10 days for shipping if we resize it. Confirmation from an independent laboratory like GIA, that there is no evidence of heat adds to a sapphire’s rarity and value. Heating is an accepted treatment for sapphire. Approximately only 0.5 - 1% of the sapphires discovered are of gem quality without treatment. Natural untreated sapphires are far more uncommon and valuable than treated and chemically altered stones.
