ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: The Paraiba Tourmaline is one of the newest gemstones known to man. Discovered in Brazil in the late 1980's, it has become one of the most prized gemstones in the tourmaline family, and one of the most expensive of all the colored gemstones per carat. This neon, minty green Paraiba tourmaline is double-prong set in rose gold and has a glittering diamond halo and diamond trident shoulders. The ring has an approximate 2.5mm shank and spans approximately 3/4" between the knuckles on the finger. The Paraiba Tourmaline is prized by collectors, but if you are unfamiliar with this gemstone and interested in owning jewelry with this rare and beautiful tourmaline, here are a few bits of information you may find useful. "A few eye visible inclusions are fine, because color carries the most weight when it comes to value–even more than clarity." You can clean them as you would most gemstones, with water, gentle soap, and a soft brush, rinse and dry with a soft cloth. Never use harsh cleansers, ultrasonic cleaners, or steam cleaners on your Paraiba tourmaline because vibration and high heat can cause certain inclusions to expand and shatter. Please inquire about sizing, if needed, and allow an additional 10 days for shipping if we resize it.
