Tabletop 16" Gilman Joslin (Boston) Terrestrial Globe, on cast iron tripod stand, set within a wooden horizon ring with delineated months and zodiac signs, marked 'Entered, according to Act of Congress, in the year 1852, by Charles Copley in the Clerk's office of the Southern District of New York," with states and countries defined in green and yellow, analemma ring located in the Pacific Ocean, 23" high. Minor stains, one 1 1/2" long separation over the Black Sea, otherwise good condition. Provenance: From the Estate of Jean Burrage, Damariscotta, ME.
