Impressive Large Carved Mid-19th c. American Finely Articulated Spread Wing Eagle, with raised head and mounted on a rock work plinth, original iron reinforcement strapping across wings and back, original iron stabilizing bolt or rod through body, 26" high x 39" wide. Good to very good overall condition; gilt surfaces with age cracks and splits. PROVENANCE: Ex-Richard Payne Estate Collection, Seal Harbor, ME.
