An illustrated edition featuring 27 color compositions by the painter and costume designer ASSIA (pseudonym of Henri de Hesse-Cassel (1927–1999)), for which this is the only book he ever illustrated. Limited edition of 301 copies signed by the author and the artist on the colophon. This copy is one of 30 printed on Arches vellum, enhanced with a suite of hors-texte plates on the same paper. This copy is enhanced with a double set of 16 of the 17 in-text illustrations on satin paper. One of these sets is housed in a separate slipcase. The illustration on page 9 is missing from both sets.
