GLOBAL CULINARY LIBRARY OF WHITE HOUSE CHEF PIERRE CHAMBRIN, ASIAN CUISINE, CHINESE COOKING, DIM
A compelling and deeply layered culinary reference library from the estate of White House Executive Chef Pierre Chambrin, centered on Asian cuisine mastery with a strong emphasis on Chinese culinary tradition, technique, and cross-cultural adaptation. This collection represents far more than a grouping of cookbooks—it is a working chef’s exploration into global cuisine, assembled by a classically trained French master expanding his repertoire beyond European foundations into the complexity of Asian gastronomy. At its core, the set is anchored by authoritative volumes such as The Heritage of Chinese Cooking (Elizabeth Chong), Ultimate Chinese Cookbook, traditional Chinese culinary texts, and specialized technique-driven works including dim sum preparation, appetizers, and regional Chinese dishes. These are complemented by modern and high-level interpretations including Jean-Georges’ Asian-influenced cuisine, Asian tapas, sushi, and Southeast Asian cooking—illustrating a complete arc from tradition to contemporary global fusion. Stamped and originating from Chambrin’s estate, the collection carries exceptional provenance. As Executive Chef at the White House, Chambrin was responsible for cooking at the highest diplomatic and cultural level—making this library a rare glimpse into the ongoing education and evolution of a top-tier culinary professional. Being sold by one of the owners of The Rug Life, Sabrina Chambrin Jureidini, the only Daughter of Pierre Chambrin. This book set comes with a COA signed by Sabrina, and one of Pierre’s original White House business cards. Each volume has one of Chef Chambrin’s stamps or embossed seal on an inside page.
