Adkins had a long and colorful career as a lawman, member of the KKK, and later political career in Arkansas. Badge is a multi-piece jeweler made piece of the highest quality and detail. Obverse reads in blue enameled letters, 'SHERIFF / 1923 / PULASKI COUNTY, ARKANSAS'. Reverse is engraved, 'HOMER M. ADKINS / 1923-1926. Measures 2 - 3/4" x 2 - 1/4". Tests to 14k gold, 32 grams.
