(some edge wear) initialled and endorsed "AIR MAIL" by the Expedition's handy man 'Chippy Ashton' to his girl friend in Manchester with Graham Land 1/- (3) + 9d all tied by light but clear purple "Graham Land" cds's with a faint P. Stanley transit cds on the reverse. The rate was made up of 3d to Chile or Uruguay plus the 'all the way' 3s-6d rate from S. America via New York to G.B. An exceptional genuine franking from Port Lockroy in Graham Land; believed to be the only such 3s-9d rate Airmail cover recorded from Tabarin.
