The card is laid down on to a rectangular piece of canvas. The right and lower edges are unevenly cut. There are a number of Artist's pinholes at the upper edge. There is some slight rounding the extreme corners. There are some incredibly fine lines of craquelure in the thicker pigment in the upper right quadrant, only visible upon extremely close inspeciton. There are one or two pinhead sized flecks of loss. There are a couple of light scuffs, and there is one small scratch in the central passage towards the right hand edge.
