GRAY AND RUSSET JADE CARVING OF A MYTHICAL CREATURE 17th/18th Century
Possibly a stylized lion, with raised head, layered eyebrows, an open mouth revealing very ferocious fangs, a finely incised mane, and a finely carved spinal column that terminates in a bifurcated tail. Archaic-style carving highlights each of its four legs. Length 4".
