Dimensions: 60mm x 84mm; Weight: 61.77 gms. After Richard Cosway. Obverse: Painted bust of officer in red coat, black collar, and wearing sash with crowned pendant and IV (possibly for George IV?); light blue background; Reverse: Gilt GB monogram within wreath of hair; all in recessed area, with oval border of braided hair around. Loop at the top. Each side housed within lunettes. An attractive and VERY RARE example of this novelty quite popular during the period, with miniature painted portraits on one side.
