GREAT SCRIMSHAW GROUPING. Comprising twelve scrimshawed, including a great large cribbage board with salmon on the front and seals and walruses on verso, an original 19th century scrimshawed whales tooth with three masted sailing ship flying an American flag (upper right corner), another cribbage board scrimshawed with whale hunt, and a great rectangular box with whale butchering scene (lower right), as well as three scrimshawed shot glasses, one scrimshawed with the federal eagle and the verso Co F 83 NY, one with canon and flying flag, and a two masted sailing ship flying American flag, named Emily, as well as another scrimshawed tooth with ship, a small walrus tooth with miniature scrimshaw of an igloo with distant ship, pierced for suspension, a set of framed petrified scrimshawed ship portraits (top row center) by Oregon artist Jamie Cooper, as well as a vintage boar tusk letter holder on ball feet, and lastly a baculum inscribed Anchorage Alaska. Greatest overall length 21 inches.
