GREAT SIOUX PICTORIAL BEADED BAG, C. 1890. Comprising a traditional Sioux beaded pipe bag, native tanned hide, sinew and lazy stitched with geometric patterns and galloping horses rendered in blue and green on a predominately white field with quill-wrapped horsehair and cone drops. Quilled wrapped base with likely later added hide fringe. Overall length 38 inches.
