¶ Ad 1-2: Rare large-sized photographs by the 19th-cent. Greek photographer Dimitrios Konstantinou (also known as Dimitris Constantine) depicting resp. the Temple of Apollo in Corinth & the Theatre of Dionysus on the Acropolis in Athens (Greece). Ex bibliotheca Dr. Maria Frederika Jongkees-Vos (1933-2018, Dutch archaeologist). “Constantine was the first photographer to be associated with the Hellenic Archaeological Society, for which he photographed antiquities in Athens and objects from the Society’s collection. Many of his photographs were sold in albums to foreign visitors to Greece” (cited from the website of the Princeton University Library). ¶ Ad 1: Vague stroke in the image, small tear in outer blank margin of the mount, sl. foxed/ browned, but nevertheless in good condition. ¶ Ad 2: Sl. foxed/ browned, but nevertheless in good condition.
