A Greek terracotta kylix with a flaring bowl, short stemmed foot, and two loop handles. The vessel's surface is coated in a lustrous black glaze and the interior is decorated with a central medallion enclosing a white-painted bird within a hatched border and further encircled by an ornamental band. For similar see: MET Museum accession number 41.162.223.
